About Salty Batches

Salty Batches didn’t start in a lab or a boardroom; it started around a kitchen table in Austin, Texas.

Before there was electrolyte candy, there were late nights, portable burners set up on countertops, handwritten notes, test batches cooling in plastic containers, and friends crowding the kitchen to taste, tweak, and try again. What began as a simple question, “Why does wolfing down a bunch of electrolytes have to be such a hassle?” turned into months of experimentation, collaboration, and problem-solving by people who actually live active lives.

The idea was born through real experience: long-distance triathlons, early morning CrossFit workouts, trail runs, ski days, family adventures, and the constant juggle of training while raising kids and working full time. Between chalky tablets, overly sweet mixes, and messy gels, the options on the shelf felt more complicated than it needed to be. Everyone agreed, there had to be a better way.

So we cooked one up.

Salty Batches Electrolyte Candy is the result of countless small batches, real feedback, and a shared obsession with making something that actually fits into real life. It’s compact, clean, and enjoyable, made with essential electrolytes without the sugar overload, artificial coloring, or unnecessary extras. Something you’d actually want to eat, not force yourself to.

While it may look like candy, and taste like candy, Salty Batches were created for active days and big adventures. No Prep. No mess. Just pop and go, whether you're mid-workout, chasing kids out the door, or heading into your next adventure. 

At the core, Salty Batches are made by athletes, parents, and outdoor-loving humans who believe enjoying electrolytes shouldn't feel like a chore. It should feel simple, effective, and maybe even a little fun.

This is how we started, together, in a kitchen, making something we couldn’t find anywhere else.
